National Geographic Kids Review and Giveaway!

National Geographic, has for a long time been a favorite among children and their teachers. Knowing this, NG, has come out with a great book for kids! Wait until your kids get a grasp of this one!

National Geographic Kids "Weird but True! 300 outrageous facts" is simply amazing!

From the time it arrived at our door for our review, my 4 girls (ages 10 1/2, 9 1/2, 6 1/2, and just about 4), have attacked this book! They have gotten such a kick out of some of these strange facts!

Take for instance:
  • Did you know that a tiger's skin is striped, just like it's fur??
  • The first bubble gun was made in 1906. It was called Blibber-Blubber!
  • Peanut butter can be converted into a diamond!
  • A baking company created a chocolate chip cookie that weighed as much as 7 pickup trucks!!
That last fact that I just gave you, was the topic of much conversation in my home! My girls were trying to figure out if that much cookie could fit into our house and how many of my mixers it would take to make that much cookie dough! Then they couldn't figure out how on earth the company was able to cook that ginormous cookie! LOL! My 6 year old decided they must have taken it to the desert, you know, because it's ALWAYS hot in the desert!

I love how this book has been able to get my kiddos thinking! It's a book that they all enjoy. Finding a book that is able to meet the interests of a wide age range is always great! Thank you so much National Geographic and to FRN for allowing me to review this amazing book!!
