On the subject of Cloth! Part 1

Does the thought of Cloth diapering scare the living day light out of you?

Under the assumption that Cloth Diapering consists of this:

How about this:

An oh heavens! And this:

And the stink?????? I don't know anyone that would want to walk around the house like this:

Seriously, that is exactly what I thought Cloth diapering entailed. The same ol' stinky stuff that my mom used to use. I remember her rinsing in the toilet, the smell of bleach, diapers hung out on the clothes line 2-3 times a week, the smell! Uggggh! The smell!!!

When I was pregnant with #5, I learned of a whole new world! I was introduced to LolliDoo! The more I researched what Ali and Mel have come up with the more I fell in love with their product! Conscientious about our environmental impact, they seeked out  every possible path that they could take, and came up with what is now called LolliDoo!

We have been using LolliDoo since my son was just days old!

Can I just say, WHERE ON EARTH WHERE YOU GIRLS WHEN I HAD MY OLDEST! These are the best! I have used 6 other brands, and definitely prefer LolliDoo. By far are they the easiest to use!

LolliDoo features:

"LolliDoo® Eco pocket diapers are a progressive approach to cloth diapering, the outer layer is a fleece made from recycled bevarage bottles. The opening at the waist fits LolliDoo® stuff-ins inserts as well as most types of other pocket inserts. Available in Classic and Overnight with your choice of Certified Organic Cotton or Recycled StayDry as a skin layer LolliDoo® Eco Pocket diapers wick moisture away from baby’s skin, keeping them dry."

Washing and care are so very simple! I have a small diaper pail where I leave all dirtied diapers. No liner, no liquid inside of the pail, no hassle.  I have it sitting across from my washer!  I simply follow these directions:

I haven't even needed to line dry (sun bleach) at all in 6 months of use! I currently do not dump solids. I am exclusively breast feeding. Since breast fed babies poop is water soluble,  there is no need!

Okay, who is the person in a dress, hose and heels cleaning out a diaper pail?!?!?!?!

It sounds like something I would've loved way back when.

I can't wait for part 2!! McHuuby and I have talked and talked about using them for the upcoming bundles, but when the Uck hit the house last week and Munchkin had an "accident", I was second guessing... Can't wait to hear more...

Everyone I know would look at me like I had lost my mind if I decided on cloth diapers for our children (when they happen)...

Which is one reason why I'm going to do it! Gotta keep the fam on their toes, right?

Looking forward to the next post: I want as much info as I can get :D
