What stays and what shuts down!

I must stipulate that there seems to be some confusion on if this is indeed true or not. Our current location, Commissaries are reporting that they will be closed, how ever Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense,Robert L. Gordon III says, that ALL Commissaries World-Wide will remain open!  We shall see!

Military Community and Family Policy provides quality of life programs to service members and their families worldwide.  Our programs and services range from commissaries, exchanges and MWR to child and youth centers, family programs and centers, and family advocacy.

Information about other important services:
We at MC&FP serve more than 2.2 million uniformed service members, 1.1 million civilian spouses and 1.8 million military children.  Your care and support is a top national security priority, and it’s our mission.
What advice do you have for other military families in the event of a government shutdown?  Join our discussion to share your advice and questions.  Thank you.
