Blessing in a Box

Laying down for our Sunday naps, Katie comes running into our room. "Some one is at the door"! Half asleep I stumble to the door and peek through the etched glass. Two people whom I do not recall ever meeting are standing there. One I only recognize as the boyfriend to Shana, across the street. I open the door, still half asleep and say hello. Apparently the lady is Shana's mother. She begins to tell me something that I have gone over and over in my head, and still can't remember it all. Something about the local Ford Company and she didn't need it and thought that we could use it. She pulls over a huge green plastic 30 gallon tote with a red lid. She called it "Christmas in a Box". She opened it and what I saw took my breath away. The tote was filled with tons of food. Everything needed for Christmas dinner. From the 10 pound ham, to the marshmellows to go over the yams. I couldn't stop thanking her. It couldn't have come at a better time. The only thing I keep telling myself, is to never forget to pay my tithing. We always do, and found ourselves need a miracle this time! This sure was it!
